Let the Whales and Dolphins Swim Free! Farglory Ocean Park’s Branding and Waste Reduction Revolutions

Farglory Ocean Park has been transformed into an edutainment park. In addition to launching a series of facilities and marine conservation experience activities, ten highlight programs have been announced to fulfill the commitment to sustainable management and marine conservation. From revamping the brand identity to revolutionizing the entertainment industry’s traditional reputation for generating large amounts of waste, Farglory Ocean Park is painting an exciting picture of transformation through innovation.

New brand identity: simple yet vivid

The new logo of Farglory Ocean Park uses seawater as the main visual image by combining the images of waves with whales and dolphins swimming free. The new logo also represents formally closing the chapter of Taiwan’s former entertainment model of using marine life for performances. This has been replaced with concern and advocacy for the freedom and rights of marine life, as well as the edutainment spirit that allows people and marine life to harmoniously coexist. Additionally, the staff uniforms have been changed from floral shirts to ISP sustainable uniforms made from old clothes, with colors and styles that purposefully match the theme areas. These revolutions create a whole new experience for visitors through simplicity and brightness.

Growing our own straws and saying goodbye to the era of waste

In the past, Taiwan’s amusement parks always produced a large number of disposable products for the food and accommodation of visitors in the name of convenience and time-saving. However, as garbage is gradually becoming one of the major threats to the marine ecosystem, Farglory Ocean Park has taken the lead in focusing on the treatment of plastic waste. Farglory is cooperating with Wonder Greener to restore abandoned farmland and plans to plant 500,000 lepironia grass straws for visitor use. Additionally, the company plans to produce 5050 mini cases with 50% of the plastic derived from recycled PET bottles gathered at the park and 50% derived from polyethylene (PE) recycled elsewhere so that visitors can take the leftover soap from their stay home with them. All of these actions help achieve the dual benefits of raw material regeneration and product lifecycle extension.

Starting from minor adjustments, Farglory Ocean Park will bring you a new idea of an amusement park, where we can experience a satisfying visit that embodies both entertainment and education.
