“NEX Community, the Farglory-sculptured future for sustainability”

Farglory just celebrated its 50th anniversary, which has left me wondering what we can do to be more sustainable during the next 50 years.

We should go back to the basics. Our business should launch operations with the customers’ viewpoint in mind and design each product responsibly, in order to meet sustainability standards at each step of the process—from production to delivery. In other words, we can only demonstrate social accountability if our business is consistent inside and out.

2022 was Farglory’s “First Year of Sustainability.” In the past, our aim was to build good houses; now, we are also focusing on integrating our brand philosophy, customer expectations, and environmental co-prosperity into our work, in the hope of injecting new vitality into buildings. Therefore, we have proposed “NEX Community” as the pillar of our sustainable development plan. It incorporates spiritual connotations into governance, social, and environmental aspects so as to initiate real, meaningful changes and positive feedback loops.

“The key to corporate sustainability: Good governance is the core of ESG”

The ESG trend has swept the world, exposing many hidden yet compelling social and environmental risks. Farglory is deeply aware that the core values of ESG also include constant organizational optimization and the fundamental missions of operational risk management, governance transparency, and accountability to stakeholders.

Over the years, Farglory Group has encouraged all of our business sectors to develop their own brands, invest in high-potential start-up industries, and evaluate the potential of overseas emerging markets in order to actively grow in a diversified manner. We expect Farglory to expand beyond our construction expertise and become a group that can benefit people and promote better quality of life with added value.

For 50 years, Farglory has taken sustainability as a fundamental self-requirement, in which we embrace innovation, steady development, and sound governance. Our consistent progress over the years demonstrates our capacity to realize the sustainability vision at the heart of “NEX Community”

“People-oriented: The New Farglory creates global co-prosperity”

Outstanding ESG performance relies on harmony, openness, and transformation within a company.

Farglory puts people first, as embodied by its three major talent cultivation policies: Cultural Cohesion, Professional Development, and Innovation & Breakthrough. Furthermore, our business heritage of “Partners” and “Co-create the Best” are also linked to innovations and transformations in digitalization, digitization, and shared workspaces, which allows each and every Farglory employee to thrive in their position and maximize their potential.

In recent years, faced with changing market conditions and climate risks, Farglory has actively assisted each of our business sectors in exploring new business models. As a result, the sustainable values of “low-carbon, recycling, and coexistence” have been incorporated, and more stringent corporate governance has been introduced, thus forming the “brand-new Farglory” to communicate with and be accountable to stakeholders.

Over the next 50 years, Farglory will lead all partners to “Dream Bigger. Do Together” and co-create a new future with higher standards for sustainability.

“Nurturing rather than merely assisting”

Developing sustainable social welfare is akin to developing a business—irreplaceability and public demand must be included among the core concepts.

“Let Farglory do it; it will be even better!” Farglory Foundation insists on linking ourselves to the core values of the industry; this has led to the launch of programs such as architectural education and housing repair in rural areas. As a result, Farglory has become the most professional and powerful voice among the organizations that respond to complex housing issues.

“If Farglory doesn’t do it, the gap will be even bigger.” This is why we continue to insist on offering fundamental social assistance. Why? Because some social needs do not need to be addressed by high-end projects, but rather by actual resources.

In the future, a milestone for Taiwan’s welfare system will be progressing from simply aiding homeowners to actively guiding homeowners in forming self-help communities that allow them to become independent of government assistance. Farglory Foundation will inherit the Group’s sustainable vision of “NEX Community”, lead the community to create a value cycle for mutual benefit, and further expand our social impact.
